Process to Distribute Funds
  1. Funding Request process is discussed annually by AD at all coaches meetings
  2. Funding Requests are typically made twice a year (Fall and Winter); deadlines are provided to coaches. The purpose of Funding Request is to help fund items for athletic equipment and facilities improvements that are supplemental to the District 113/DHS budget
  3. A Funding Request Form is filled out by coaches and submitted to Athletic Director (AD); examples of past funded items by the Booster Club as well as general guidelines are included on the Funding Request Form. Funding Requests are open to all 32 sports teams/coaches. Funding Requests cannot originate from student-athletes, parents, or sports reps
  4. AD will review all Funding Requests received by coaches. The AD will determine which items will be submitted to the Booster Club to request full or partial funding approval
  5. AD submits approved requests to the Executive Board for a cursory review. This allows the Executive Board to ask questions in advance to make sure all the needed details are included so when presented to the Booster Club all/most anticipated questions/concerns have been answered. This streamlines discussions at the Booster Club meeting and keeps the process efficient.
  6. The Executive Board, will do its best to share in advance of the Booster Club meeting, the request by AD/Coaches, to allow the Booster Club members to come prepared with questions
  7. Funding Request is an agenda item at the following/next Booster Meeting. A motion is made, items are discussed, and then voting occurs, it is possible that all, some, or none of the requests are approved
  8. AD notifies coaches of the outcome of the funding request(s) to the Booster Club
Deerfield High School Athletic Booster Club is a not-for-profit organization comprised of parents and other interested community members.  As a 501(c)(3) organization, your donation is deductible to the extent allowed by law.
